to be honest I didnt dig Tristania so much before until now…I love Rubicon! is so far one of my favorites albums ever, my favorite songs are Protection, which sounds like a beautiful lullaby thanksful to the marvellous voice of Mary, Sirens gotta love that catchy chorus, Amnesia, well it is a really deep song which you can feel related to if you have been broken hearted and Illumination the lyrics are pretty raw or direct which is something i love from this song… And I am really excited to see the future of Tristania ! come soon to Venezuela

What can we talk about Rubicon, this work was just simply the gods. My favorite song where wake and fall asleep listening to it and “The Passing” the music has a strong melody that marks our soul. Rubicon and the CD that every fan should have at home. Congratulations Mary, Anders, Ole, Tarald and every band.
I hope the band soon to appear here in Brazil, where all the fans are dying to hear you guys playing here and doing a show that marked the history of Gothic Metal. Congratulations Tristania. Band number one of my top list.

This is a great CD, so interesting… the sound is AMAZING…
My favourites songs are: The Shining Path, Wormwwod, Lost, Deadlocked, Hatred Grows, World Of Glass and Crushed Dreams

i received it one week ago and i’ve already listened to it more than 20 times i think. if i didn’t love all tristania albums, i’d say this is my favourite one. is that enough?!? and i’ll keep on listening to it for a long time i think! many, many more listenings are simply necessary to have a glimpse of every facet of this record.

Gosh, I’m so inlove with the voices, and Gosh with everything of it, it is so amazing.- I mean it is so good, wao I cannot explain how good I feel hearing these songs, art amazing, Rubicon’s a gr8 album. My fav tristania albums:

Well, I just got my Rubicon and heard it three times, and I just don’t know how to express myself in words, I’m just speechless.
This album is a complete masterpiece. Like I said on the Ashes reply, I knew that Rubicon would be a great and wonderful job, and I was right!
I must congratulate every and each single person who worked for this musical gift to be done. The whole band really ‘crossed the rubicon’ on this album, a magnifical musical transition.
All of the songs are very very great, but I have to say that the last track, Illumination, just made me pour down several tears (don’t ask me why, I just felt it!), Einar have done another miracle for my ears to hear, like he have done before!
Mariangela just gave a new life to the band, her strong and powerfull voice gave it a plus magic besides the wonderful melodies.

Well, I just can say now…
Thank you, thank you, thank you…
Thank you for keeping this dream alive, thank you for not allowing the flame that burns in my eyes when I listen to a Tristania’s song to die, thank you for making a fan happy just for keep on living to hear your wonderful music!

Well, I must say that Ashes until now is my favourite Tristania album, I can tell that this is a masterpiece!
Heavy songs mixed with strong and deep lyrics plus violent grunts and a beutiful voice.
Einar did such a great job in this album with the piano, specially on The Gate (which is my favourite song on the album).
In general, I think that Tristania took a jump in the dark with Ashes, ’cause on the previous album World of Glass the band was making songs with electronic elements and a very industrial influence, and then 4 years later they came with a completly organic and pure album, sounding much heavier, much stronger and talking about much more darker human feelings!

So, Ashes is my favourite album of all the times and I must say that it was an important influence on my ‘musical life’.
I’m so grateful for the whole band for doing such a good remedy to my soul and my mind, and I know that more precious stuff are coming next, Rubicon will be one of them!

Fist Vibeke, now Østen!! My heart has well and truly broken! No one can possibly understand the love I have for the vocals of these two, and together it was heaven! Hearing them sing moved me to a new world of music and awakened the passion I have for singing!

No matter how many times I have listened to each record every time I hear it I have to catch my breath…. it’s hard to describe but something moves through me and I get goose bumps and sometimes swell with emotion… nothing can match them! Mostly it breaks my heart because I never got to see the biggest two idols in my life play live with the band that owns my heart!… Sometimes living in Australia sucks!

I know this is the business is and line ups in bands change, life happens, people move on, but it sometimes sucks! But on the plus side I love Trail of Tears so I am so excited for Kjetil! We couldn’t ask for a better replacement for such a legend! Congrats and goodluck!

yesterday i received an e-mail from napalm saying my order is on its way, i’m so anxious to receive it… i’ve been feeling so since i placed the order 2 months ago and i already know Rubicon will stay in my player for the next following months. really, tristania are one of the few bands that manage to make me more and more fall in love with their records as time passes by and new records are released. i almost fear i will like this more than Ashes! – how many times did i already say, please come to italy or slovenia?!?

a great update, really! i had already read some of these statements in the past but it’s nice to have this as a sum up.
i never really liked Østen’s vocals that much, especially live i must say, while Kjetil’s one of my fav metal singers so i’m more than happy he’s a full member now.
and i can’t wait to see the whole band live as soon as possible!

It’s a shame that Østen had to leave the band permanently, as he is definitely one of the greatest male vocalists of all time. Hoping to see him as a guest vocalist on future albums. On the other hand, it’s great to see someone as talented as Kjetil replacing him. Rubicon and any other future albums will of course sound more or less different from the previous albums but that’s exactly the reason I’ve always adored Tristania, you guys actually move on instead of repeating the same over and over. And still manage to sound excellent.
